ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

MINUTES

1: Secretary welcomed members to the meeting following the Presentation of Trophies and sponsor Paul LeHuray of Torbay Taxis and thanked him for his continuing support of the league

Apologies: J Tucker, J Harvey, T Prust, M Rivers, R & V Camp, M Reed

Mike Reed pleased league is carrying on and anyone who wants to ring him please let Ray Tucker who will pass on phone number

2: Minutes of last AGM were approved

3: Secretary Report: Ray thanked everyone for their help during the season and confirmed that officers were prepared to carry on. Special thanks to Marcus Lugg and Mike Pearce for help with regard website

Trophy winners were:

Division One: Church House Red

Division Two: Bell Inn B

League Cup: Palace Place Blue

League Cup runners-up: Church House Red League

Shield winners: Church House Red

Pairs Cup winners: V McKenna & R Baker, Coach House A Finalists: S Collings & R Tucker, Palace Place Blue

Semi-finalists: M Lugg & G Tooze and M Rivers & K Gerry, Devonport Arms

Bell Inn B & Castle Inn promoted, Coach House B & Palace Place Gold relegated

4: Treasurer report: Pete suggested League affiliation fees for season 2024-2025, agreed at £40 per team. Accounts attached.

5: To agree constitution of league for season 2024-2025: Division One will have eight teams playing each other three times. Division Two will have seven teams playing each other three times. Bell Inn C back in the fold.

6: Rule additional: 11 (a) That at the end of each hand all cards to be shown face up by each player and not just thrown face down on the deck, thereby alleviating claims of misappropriation. Proposed G Thomson, Seconded Gareth Jones This was agreed.

7: There was no any other business
